To promote independent living through lifelong, distance education programs for blind people, their families and blindness service providers.
An exciting and innovative partnership between The Hadley School and Utah State University will broaden the reach of distance education for both schools and provide affordable access to education for teachers who work with visually impaired students. Beginning fall 2009, the schools will offer an online associate degree program in communication disorders focused on blindness and designed for para-professionals.
This program is funded by grants from the Lavelle Fund for the Blind, the Vision for Tomorrow Foundation, the Gibney Family Foundation, the Reader's Digest Partners for Sight Foundation, the Shapiro Foundation, HSBC - North America and the Siragusa Foundation.
